Macedonian bear convicted for theft of honey.
"For a while, he kept the animal away by buying a generator, lighting up the area, and playing thumping Serbian turbo-folk music."
. . . In other news, a Czech scientist determines that beer drinking is negatively correlated with academic productivity and the likelihood that your article will be cited by your peers.

I was that bear.
Serbian turbo-folk? I had not heard of that sub-genre yet. Intriguing...
As far as the beer drinking goes, I wonder if it holds for social scientists as well? I'm thinking that as long as you drink while working, it's cool. K's current thesis topic was hatched at Arbor Brewing...
I would also like to mention: the data scatter was reasonably large. The individual with the most publications also was in the middle-range of beer consumption.
Lastly, I'd like to profess amazement that the median researcher in the Bohemian region of the Czech republic consumed 200 liters of beer/year. That's over 560 U.S. standard 12oz bottles. Median.
